Is this a legitimate brand?

Chiaro is run by Hudcová Studio, a registered Norwegian sole proprietorship. We have a physical business address in Norway, real customer service by email, and open information about who we are — see About Chiaro. All jewellery is covered by a 30-day open purchase.

Is 1,090 NOK a reasonable price for this necklace?

Solitaire is made of 925 sterling silver with a genuine 0.41 ct lab-grown moissanite — not cubic zirconia or another cheap imitation. Moissanite is among the hardest and most brilliant gemstones in the world, and producing it is far more resource-intensive than glass or ordinary crystal. The price reflects the material and the craftsmanship, without the price level of the diamond industry.

What exactly is moissanite?

Moissanite is a distinct, lab-grown mineral — not a synthetic diamond and not cubic zirconia. It measures 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale and is known for its strong refraction of light, which gives a clear, lively sparkle. Read more about moissanite here.

How big is the stone?

The stone in Solitaire is 5 mm in diameter, in a 6 mm setting — discreet and delicate, not a big statement piece. Solitaire is designed to be worn every day without feeling heavy or flashy.

Will the gold plating last?

The plating is applied by electroplating, which gives a solid, even layer. As with all jewellery plating, it may wear somewhat over time with daily use — especially through contact with perfume, creams and sweat. With normal care (take it off for showers, workouts and swimming), it will stay beautiful for a long time. See our material guide for specific care tips.

Can I wear it every day?

Yes — that is exactly what Solitaire is made for. Moissanite handles everyday life well thanks to its high hardness, and the necklace is nickel-free and gentle on the skin.

What if I'm not happy?

You have a 30-day open purchase from the day you receive your order. If the item is unused and in its original condition, you get your money back. You pay the cost of return shipping yourself. For hygiene reasons, hair accessories such as silk scrunchies are only covered by the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal and must be unused. See our full return policy for details.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. In Norway you can choose between PostNord (75 NOK), Posten (76 NOK) and HeltHjem (82 NOK), and we ship internationally with Posten for 210 NOK. See shipping and delivery for the full overview.
